The world’s best coconut shell comes from Indonesia, so that is where Cocoshisha is made. Carbonising at origin means first pick of the raw material — and no compromise between freshness and scale.
Our own 5,000 m² plant in Pati, Central Java runs about 3,000 metric tons per year. No trees are ever cut: these are shells that would otherwise be waste, supporting forest conservation.
A cleaner, longer-lasting heat.
Coconut shell is an agricultural by-product — carbonised, ground and pressed with a food-grade tapioca binder into uniform briquettes that light evenly, hold steady heat and leave a light, clean ash. A fuel that stays out of the way of the tobacco: the preferred charcoal of hookah lounges and distributors worldwide.
Responsible use: hookah smoking is not a harmless alternative to other forms of tobacco use, and all burning charcoal produces carbon monoxide. Use only in well-ventilated spaces. CO figures come from a single laboratory study (one hookah model) and market figures are third-party estimates.
